What do you think of Oxana’s story?

What can be done to prevent this treatment of women? Should people be more aware of situations such as this?

Reading this story both saddens me and angers me. Reading these comments also sickens me. We left the UK because of the attitude of people. Thank god. Wherever she ends up living with her children will probably be a god send to her. Whoever has the powers to help this lady and her children should be doing something. In response to those comments above what has happened to England that people no longer have any humanity? She probably ended up in this state because everyones attitude seems to be not in my back yard and turns the other cheek.

Its her poor children i feel sorry for, they must be distraught and lonely, there is no need for them to be kept in an orphanage when they have a perfectly fit and healthy parent to care for them. They will probably never get over the trauma, nothing would stop me seeing my kids even if i had to camp outside the orphanage day and night.

I am a mother of a 14 year old son myself and I couldn't possibly begin to imagine how I would cope after the horror that you have endured.

You have been so brave and come so far and must never give up.

She should have been deported straight away. Now she wants her children here, I suppose to get child benefit. Thats the trouble with this country. There are people born and bred here and can't get a council flat, and living on the streets. If her children come here, I suppose she will be given a 4 bedroomed house with all the trimmings and a few thousand a month to keep them all.

Why do her children have to be reunited with her here? surely they should all be together in the Ukraine where they are from.
I'm happy she has escaped her life in the Brothel, however, why should I pay for her kids as well?

I think there is no simpel solution to this problem. When people has no respect for each other, because they have no love or respect for themselves, the problem will always be there. But men who have a bit of humanity and don´t buy sex from prostitutes, and the government/police making a special taskforce to investigate and making it very difficult for the backers to make money on those poor women, is the only way something can be done. It probably wont solve the problem/crimes, but fewer women/children will be victims.
I hope an artical like this makes people remember to act kind to strangers and remind themselves how lucky they are in life.

But I dont see she should bring her children here? She could be given a flight home and be reunited.

Lets face it. As we slip into recession more and more people will need supporting by the state. Do we have to take on another family like this? Will her three children, brought up by the state integrate into society and end up being productive? The statistics say they wont.

Sorry but we need to be harder and send her home.

whilst glad her life is improving am confused that she can secretly make an international call to speak to sister , but not a 999 call to the police.
