What do you think of Oxana’s story?
What can be done to prevent this treatment of women? Should people be more aware of situations such as this?

Reading this story both saddens me and angers me. Reading these comments also sickens me. We left the UK because of the attitude of people. Thank god. Wherever she ends up living with her children will probably be a god send to her. Whoever has the powers to help this lady and her children should be doing something. In response to those comments above what has happened to England that people no longer have any humanity? She probably ended up in this state because everyones attitude seems to be not in my back yard and turns the other cheek.

Its her poor children i feel sorry for, they must be distraught and lonely, there is no need for them to be kept in an orphanage when they have a perfectly fit and healthy parent to care for them. They will probably never get over the trauma, nothing would stop me seeing my kids even if i had to camp outside the orphanage day and night.

I am in tears after just having read your shocking story and felt compelled to write a few lines.
I am a mother of a 14 year old son myself and I couldn't possibly begin to imagine how I would cope after the horror that you have endured.
You have been so brave and come so far and must never give up.
Be strong, keep on fighting and look forward to that special day when once again, you will be reunited with your beautiful children.
You are truly inspirational and my heart goes out to you all...

i was horrified reading oxana story and i sincerely hope she gets re-united with her 3 children abd they mabage to live a happy and peaceful life. Send her my best wishes if you can. These stories of sex trafficking really disturb me and i hope something can be done to prevent such horrible treatment of these poor young girls. Peter

This is all to common, there needs to be much tighter controls at the entry to UK, the security in this country is a pure joke. I hope she gets to see her children, my heart bleeds for her and them

Four thousand trafficed women forced to work in brothels. Where does that figure come from? That needs to be supported and substantiated, otherwise it should be identified as opinion or speculation

If we started prosceuting the men who buy sex weomen would not be subjected to this ordeal. No demand no women!

If the powers that be who run this country spent more time weeding out the illegal brothels and less time putting stupid mircochips in wheelie bins beautifull human beings like Oxana and her lovely children would not be parted in the first place. The British government should use their power to help get this brave and inspirational woman her children back. You are strong spirit Oxana and you will win in the end. GOD bless you Oxana. yours, Phil.

She should have been deported straight away. Now she wants her children here, I suppose to get child benefit. Thats the trouble with this country. There are people born and bred here and can't get a council flat, and living on the streets. If her children come here, I suppose she will be given a 4 bedroomed house with all the trimmings and a few thousand a month to keep them all.
Disgusting.

Why do her children have to be reunited with her here? surely they should all be together in the Ukraine where they are from.
I'm happy she has escaped her life in the Brothel, however, why should I pay for her kids as well?

I think there is no simpel solution to this problem. When people has no respect for each other, because they have no love or respect for themselves, the problem will always be there. But men who have a bit of humanity and don´t buy sex from prostitutes, and the government/police making a special taskforce to investigate and making it very difficult for the backers to make money on those poor women, is the only way something can be done. It probably wont solve the problem/crimes, but fewer women/children will be victims.
I hope an artical like this makes people remember to act kind to strangers and remind themselves how lucky they are in life.

Surely Oxana should move back to the Ukraine if her priority is to gain back her children who have been taken into care.

I have sympathy for Oxsana.
But I dont see she should bring her children here? She could be given a flight home and be reunited.
Lets face it. As we slip into recession more and more people will need supporting by the state. Do we have to take on another family like this? Will her three children, brought up by the state integrate into society and end up being productive? The statistics say they wont.
Sorry but we need to be harder and send her home.

whilst glad her life is improving am confused that she can secretly make an international call to speak to sister , but not a 999 call to the police. Surely once she knew her children would not be harmed why not ring them immediately. even so congratulatios to her on changing her life and i hope her family is reuited very soon. a courageous woman

Thank God Oxsana, that you escaped. The horror you
must have endured is unimaginable for so many.
Bless you, Oxsana, may you be reunited with your
children, may you find lasting happiness, joy,
peace and prosperity.
If you are able, finding it in your heart to help
other people in such dire circumstances, blessings.
You are beautiful, an inspiration, and I'm honored
to have been able to hear your story.
Thank you so much for opening up and sharing. It
helps everyone see the truth, and then help us all
to find the light of right for everyone.
