Is Christmas a special time of year for you and your family or is it just another day? What would be your ideal way to spend Christmas?

The letters home were really moving. Having been away at Christmas myself (although for a far less worthy cause – I was back-packing!) I understand how hard it is not to be surrounded by loved ones at that time of year. Hats off to the girls for doing such wonderful things to help others.

This story moved me to tears. I can't imagine being parted from my family for the festive season, but I admire people who are selflessly giving up their lives to help others. I guess it shows what Christmas should really be about.
