Men’s body obsessions
Is your man obsessed with the gym? Does he worry more about his weight and appearance than you? At what point does a healthy attitude to fitness become a dangerous obsession? Would you let it compromise your relationship?

i have been with my boyfriend for two years, and his obsession with gym and his body has turned from 'normal' to worse. he now goes twice a day. he wont ever spend the whole day with me, because i will interfere with his routine. when he is at the gym, i cant ring him for favours, or to remind him of anything! we were planning to get engaged this summer, now he has delayed the engagement for another year because i am distracting him from becoming a professional martial artist. our relationship has come to an end. i have become last of his priorities. he has a perfect body, an 8pack, tall, i dont know what more he wants out of this life. i guess im not on his list!

I HAVE TO AGREE YOUR HEALTH IS PRIORITY. bUT WHAT ABOUT WHEN YOUR PARTNER GOES TO THE GYM 3 TIMES A DAY, ONCE BEFORE HE GOES TO WORK,THEN AGAIN ON HIS HALF AN HOUR DINNER BREAK, THEN AFTER WORK FOR 45 MINS. WORKING WEEKENDS ASWELL GOING TO AND FROM WORK ASWELL. BEING HEALTHY THEN CROSSES OVER INTO OBSESSION, ALSO PUTTING A MAJOR STRAIN ON YOUR BODY, IT'S NO BETTER FOR YOUR BODY THEN DRUGS OR ALCOHOLISM SURELY, THIS MUCH TRAINING.

I have to say that I too go to the gym and while obsession over anything is not healthy' obsession over your health is slightly more so. Some of these men may have taken the body conscious to he Nth degree but one of these men has a partner who may be feeling self-concious whilst the other woman wishes to shop and go to the pub to break her partners obsession with the gym! Think perhaps what if these girls were to get involved and swap drinks and jimmy choo for rock climbing or swimming this way you can partake together in something that is fun and healthy. I used to frown when a friend of mine refused to come out for a drink because of his fitness regime. I now understand this is more dellusional than wanting to go to the gym everyday ask yourself if it makes sense to trade health for (expensive)feel good shopping spree's and alcohol well!? There you have it often times women fear losing their body beautiful partners to equally body beautiful women who frequent gyms these days. We must all remember the saying the fittest of the fittest will survive. They always have and will so girls get ship shape or prepare to be shipped out!! No thats harsh but truly I think everone should take a look in the mirror before they judge as the answer to the problem is normally staring you in the face or around the stomach, hips, and thighs lol. Peace
