X Factor: fame and misfortune
Is The X Factor a good way to launch a singing career? What do you think of the ‘manufactured’ bands that seem to be around these days? Is it enough just to have a good voice or do you need a great management team behind you?
I don't think there's anything wrong with singers reaching the big time via shows like The X Factor. After all, you have to have the talent in the first place otherwise you'd fall at the first hurdle. Leona is just proof that phenomenal singers can be found as a result of shows like these – and through it all she's managed to keep her feet firmly on the ground. You go girl!
