Id just like to say that not everyone conforms to the pressure of their peers. I am 16 and despite being on the pill became pregnant with my current bf who i have been with for little over a year. When i came to the decision to have an abortion many of my friends turned their back on me at the time when i needed them most. I was not ready for a child, i want to bring a child in to a secure happy life. I stook by my decision an do not regret the decision i made.

I AM ASKED BY FRIENDS ALL THE TIME WHY MY 20SOMETHINGS ARNT GETTING MARRIED OR HAVING CHILDREN YET, WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO HAVING A LIVE BEFORE ALL OF THE ABOVE, ONCE APON A TIME IT WAS NORMAL TO GET A GOOD EDUCATION A SETTLED CARRER TRAVEL AN THEN SETTLE DOWN, IN THE FINANCIAL CLIMATE WERE IN THIS WOULD YOU WOULD THINK BE A SENSIBLE IDEA. NO RUSHING OUT AN BREEDING I HAVE AS A SINGLE PARENT NEVER PRESSURISED THEM INTO THERE FUTURE PLANS. IM VERY PROUD OF THEM. THEY ARE VERY DETERMINED NOT TO BRING CHILDREN INTO THIS WORLD UNTIL THEY ARE LOOKED FOR AN CAN BE TAKEN CARE OF IN A LOVING RELATIONSHIP AND HAVE THERE CARRERS SETTLED, MY DAUGHTERS AT UNI MY SON WORKS IN THE CITY THEY HAVE LARGE CIRCLES OF FRIENDS AND ARE NOT READY YET. SO PEOPLE PLEASE SLOW DOWN AND LET THEM MAKE THERE OWN CHOICES I AM THE ONLY ONE OUT OF ALL MY PIERS NOT TO BE A GRANDMOTHER. BUT IL HAVE TO WAIT!!!!!

Dear Fabulous i think artical 'i got a new face just like mum'(issue 23) was rediculus the ageing process is part of life like it or not!!! I think that women should be proud of the way they look! Paying all that money to look younger is a disgrace!

I was so happy to read the article, now i realise its not only me who gets picked on . I am married 9 months and the comments and questions i get from friends are so horrible, we have been trying for a baby and things are not going to plan , we find it hard as it is to deal with it and certainly dont need added pressure, i have started to avoid certain people so i can avoid there questions and passing comments.I just cant understand why people dont think before the speak.

When i read this article i just had to mail in. I just recently had a very big fall out with a close friend of mine regarding her obsession with having children, im childless, but we have been pregnant 3 times and have suffered 3heart breaking miscarrages. My freind sufferes from POS and is having fertility treatment, its true i do not know what shes going through, nevertheless i can empathyse with her about the desire to have a family, well it all got to much, she would watching everything that we drink and even comment 'you having another drink'and even one night she recommended to my partner 'dont you think you should have a sperm test' as we were, i thought close friends we let it go over our heads, then it just became a sex compertiion always telling us that they were trying last night or that she will find out shes pregnant, things became very uptight between us and it just hit a very sour point one day, and iv got to say its sad that we are no longer friends but a massive weight had been lifted and i dont feel pressured as much. im 32yrs and my partner is 39yrs, and hopefully one day we will be blessed with our own family, we have been tested to the max and its just very bad luck, iv learned to come to terms with the fact that life is too short and not to wish time away.
